Dick Sneddon R.I.P.

Drummer - The Hi-Fi Combo – The Hi-Fi's - The Hi-Fi Showband – 1960’s.

The Sneddon family, via Dick's nephew Monty Sneddon, kindly advised me today, Thursday, 11th March 2021 that, sadly, Dick, my friend & drummer with The Hi-Fi Combo during my two years with the band 1965-1967 passed away on 9th March 2021. Dick was also a most talented artist whom I have continually highlighted within my pages here.

FAMILY STATEMENT
“Unfortunately Dick passed away on the 9th of this month and his sons are hoping to use 'It's Gonna Be Morning' and 'I Wanna Hear You Say Yeah' during the funeral on Friday the 16th of March. They have asked me to try and source digital copies of both songs”.

I have already replied to the family, attaching my best copies of the two requested songs along with my condolences to the family. This is my own tribute. R.I.P. Dick.

Dick has now moved on, but . . .

His memory will go on  . . . as will his famous Ludwig drum kit, because now, 56 years after Dick performed with them in the Polydor Studios, London on The Hi-Fi Combo's, It's Gonna Be Morning / I Wanna Hear You Say Yeah" record, the Ludwig kit is now in the loving care of his nephew, drummer, Monty Sneddon.
